winner of two childcare centers in copenhagen
Esbensen, together with Rubow architects, Sloth Møller Consulting Engineers and Opland Landscape Architects has won the competition for consultancy in connection with two new childcare centers. The client is KEjd - Københavns Ejendomme.
The institutions will be located at Bavnehøj Allé respectively Tranehavevej and will be constructed as low class the 2015. In addition, appropriate future operation and maintenance is incorporated in the project. The institutions will be developed in a close user process with the client and user groups.
The institutions will be constructed as two separate projects and the turnkey consultant will handle two managements, two staff groups and two groups of children, etc. Two existing institutions to be demolished after the two new institutions are taken into use.
- The institutionen at Bavnehøj Allé, Childcare Center and After School Center, will house a 5-group daycare institution Compriseing respectively 3 day care groups and 2 groups of after school children, and will be around 800 m2.
- The institution at Tranehavevej, Bavnehøj Børnehus, will house a 6-group daycare institution, and will be around 1000 m2.
The total contract costs are expected to be around Dkr. 34 to 38 million.
