In the modern everyday life a person spends a great amount of time indoors. Therefore it is important that the buildings have a high-quality indoor climate to create good conditions for work and residency. Poor indoor climate could lead to illness, allergies/asthma and discontent, and in workplaces this can result in sickness absence and reduced productivity.
A building should be able to generate the amount of heating and cooling that is necessary to maintain thermal comfort, both during summer and winter. A good indoor climate can be assessed by the level of consumer satisfaction and the air quality. Thermal comfort is a state where the consumer neither wishes the temperature to be warmer nor colder, hence a state of thermal neutrality.
Dynamic estimates should be included when dimensioning the indoor climate, so that it is possible to identify the critical zones. These zones represent areas that will experience periods of under- and over temperature during a year.
We have many years of experience with indoor climate. Through the use of the process Integrated Energy Design we engineer the best holistic solution for the building, by including the constructive and technical systems.
