The new domicile will be a landmark with its organic shape and special scenic location. At the same time it will be a beacon for low-energy buildings and the use of alternative energy sources. The building shall be certified as passive house and after the installation of 1,800 m² energy-producing solar cells, the building becomes the largest plus energy house, with Denmark's second largest solar cell system. Energy initiatives to meet the requirements for the passive house construction include that building has an optimized building envelope, making the heat emitting surface become as small as possible. In the building there is optimum utilization of daylight, passive cooling via 10 km soil pipes and waste heat from the server room used to heat hot water using water pumps. Furthermore, energy-efficient ventilation is used in the form of natural / hybrid and displacement ventilation. The office building will be completed in 2013 and then housed approx. 350 employees. Esbensen are has developed the energy concept and undertake the design of
building installations. |
